There will be a total of 9 teams participating in the tournament. All teams will be placed in one Group and each team will play the other team twice. Total games for each team:- 16. The top 4 teams will play in the Playoffs. Schedule will be put up on the HCL website.

Fees: $200 per team plus USACA Fees $30 (only New Clubs / Teams). New Balls to be provided by the teams. Balls and Umpires for the Playoff matches will be provided by the SLC. Checks are to be mailed before May 1^st to HCL Treasurer-Cameron Best at the following address:

Saturday League shall be independent of the Sunday League and there will be no restriction on players or teams playing in the Saturday League and Sunday League. There will be no automatic promotion from Saturday League to Sunday League. Admission of new teams into the Sunday League, will be based on grounds availability.

Grounds: Teams will have to make arrangements with the existing clubs for utilizing the grounds on Saturdays. The SLC will make best efforts to arrange grounds for all the teams.

· Games will start at 10.00 a.m. Teams must be in attendance 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of their matches in order to complete the coin toss and be ready to take the field immediately. Teams must have at least 7 players in attendance at the scheduled start of play, if not, one over will be deducted from their innings for each 5-minute delay. Any team causing delay of more than 45 minutes shall forfeit the game. In such a case, the team forfeiting the game shall receive zero points and their opponent shall receive 6 points.

Points System - Win 6 points, Tie 4 points, Rained-Out / No-Result 3 points

· Each Match will be of 30 overs, with a 6 over limit per bowler.

· A water break shall be taken after 15 overs, whose duration shall not exceed 5 minutes. A lunch interval shall be taken between the innings and the duration shall not exceed 30 minutes.

· There will be no rearrangement of fixtures due to unsuitable weather conditions.

The top 4 teams, based on points will qualify for the finals. If 2 teams are tied in the group standings, then the group standings will be resolved as follows:

· Fielding Restrictions:

(i) For the first 9 overs, not more than 2 fielders shall be placed outside the 30-Yard Circle. All Home teams need to mark distinctly the 30-Yard Circle around the wickets.

(ii) After the 9^th over, not more than 5 fielders shall be placed outside the 30-Yard Circle.

· Each team must play only those players who are registered before the start of the league. No player who has played for one team during the league will be allowed to play for another team.

· Scores must be submitted to the SLC and will be maintained on the HCL Website.

· Standard rules of cricket as followed by the Houston Cricket League will apply. All Matches shall be played according to the latest Laws of Cricket, as published by Lords http://www.lords.org/cricket/laws.asp

· Playoff Format: The top 4 teams will play in the Playoffs.
