EC MEETING # 4 Minutes

Meeting was called to order
at 7 PM. Meeting agenda had four topics.
1. Saturday League :
Five teams, namely MCC III,
TOG, Mustang, Statford, Pak Gymkhana confirmed their desire to participate. Bhakta is
anticipated to join in besides other possibilities. HCC and CICC have been contacted for
the use of their ground for a fee. Schedule will be done end of the week and posted on web
Play offs will include top
four teams.
2. Regional Cup:
At this time US / Canada
game is also planned for the May 29 - 30 time frame in Fort Lauderdale, FL. For now the EC
decided to postpone naming a captain for the Regional Cup. A three man selection committee
(SC) was named:
The selectors are:

Tony
and Vinod Bhakta will work out selection of the Youth cricket.
Senior
level games will be conducted on MCC and CICC fields in TBP. Under 19 games will take
place on the HCC field. Bhakta ground will be utilized for the under 16 players.
HCL
budget for this event is expected to be about $1500. Syed Shahanawaz will host the dinner
for the event. All clubs are requested to seek individuals to find sponsors to the tune of
$500. A Sponsorship Committee was nominated. The members of this committee are:

A
management committee was nominated to help with the preparation and conduct of the
Regional Cup. Following responsibilities will be shared by various EC members:

3. Match Disputes:
Phil
Trayner issued rulings on PACC vs PCC and PACC vs NHCC games. Both games were
declared as Rained Out. Both teams will get 3 points each for these games.
The
umpire abuse incident between MCC II and HWI was discussed at length. EC members Phil and
Andy were excused from this discussion. Kirtus pointed out to the EC that strict measures
were taken against PACC and others and that it was important that the EC has a hearing on
this matter. The EC intends to send the message across the board to all the clubs that
player interference with the umpire is unacceptable conduct and contrary to the cricketing
tradition.
An
Umpire Abuse Hearing was set to take place on May 13 at the Comfort Inn.
4. TBP Ground Status:
Survey
work for the new CCC field has been completed by the County Engineers and recommendations
made to the Parks authorities. Paul Mauricio is expected to allow CCC to start work on
their field mid May.
A
soft copy of the revised concessionaire agreement was received by Channi. The changes to
original document are being reviewed. This document will be issued for comments to various
clubs in mid May.
